Connecticut Recovery Employment Consultation Service (C-RECS) Coordinator (CT)

Focus On Recovery-United, Inc. (FOR-U), a statewide consumer-run organization is looking for a highly motivated individual for a FT position (35 hrs a week) to work out of our Middletown Training Center to manage the FOR-U C-RECS project. C-RECS is a consumer-driven initiative funded by Connecticut's Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant (MHT-SIG) to promote consumer employment and mental health system transformation. One of the primary goals of the initiative is to increase employment of persons in recovery from diverse cultural backgrounds at all levels of the mental health workforce. This position will require some travel throughout the state. Position will include employer/agency outreach plus development and delivery of employment education, participant support and individual and group activities. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Report writing capability and ability to supervise staff, plus the commitment to peer values and a minimum of 2 years professional vocational/employment experience. A sense of humor, flexibility, adaptability and openness to change are essential. Strong problem solving skills with a team approach is required. Beginning salary mid-thirties with benefits.
